Moose died peacefully, alongside his family of nearly 10 years, Sunday, October 13, at the Emergency Animal Clinic in Mishawaka, IN. Moose was adopted by his family, on October 6, 2010, and quickly became a third child to his parents and the best “puppy brother” Kaitlyn & Austin could have ever asked for. Moose could “sit”, “shake”, “lay down” on command and would love to run to retrieve any toy or ball thrown for him, and then never bring it back. Moose loved people and never met a stranger. A lover of couches, blankets and his many, many stuffed animals, Moose had many hobbies. Some of Moose’s favorite activities included barking at things that weren’t there, taking over his brother’s bed, knowing exactly what time he was fed each day (and barking at his dish until someone filled it), sleeping, sleeping…. and sleeping some more. The quickest way to Moose’s heart was a belly rub or the always reliable dog cookie (of which he had his own container and knew the sound it made when it opened and would come running when he heard it). Moose will be greatly missed by many, but none more so than his family. Through thick and thin, they loved him with all of their hearts, and though the pain they feel without him is great, it in no way would compare to never having had him in their lives. At the wishes of Moose’s family please give your pet an extra hug, belly rub and treat. Rest in Peace Moose. You were a good dog.
