We were not really ready for a cat when Kasey "chose" us to be his new family. He was a very playful cat and most importantly, got along with the rest of our fids, especially, the birds. I wasn't really a cat-person at first but Kasey changed all that. He would take a nap with me in the afternoon. All it takes to get him on the couch was, "Kasey, nap time!" and he'd rest his head on my arm and cuddle the rest of the afternoon. He also served as my alarm clock and pretty much checked if I'm still alive if he couldn't see my face while sleeping. He would constantly lock himself inside the bathroom as he liked playing with the bathroom door. He knew whenever I'm feeling down and he was there to give me a big hug and kiss just to make me feel better. During my husband's deployment, he served as my greatest companion along with our other fids and helped me cope the loneliness I would always feel. He was there to greet me whenever I come home from work. He was a very good cat, my best friend, my love, and my life. And I miss him dearly...

Personal Notes

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.
