Dixie was a homeless stray found in a garbage dumpster in Honolulu. Malorie's swim coach found her but couldn't keep her so he offered her to our family. Malorie had been wanting a kitten and this looked like the perfect one. Little did we know she wasn't a kitten at all but a poorly nourished two year old with skin cancer from over-exposure to the Hawaiian sun. We couln't believe how quickly she grew and flourished with a proper diet and soon she was the most beautiful cat we had ever seen. For over 18 years, this girl has been a part of our growing family and put up with many moves, new additions of dogs and even an accidental dryer ride. She will never be replaced or forgotten. I thank her for the many happy times she brought to my children and our family.
