When I first got Kitty I was only just 17 years old back in 1986. I was still living with my parents at the time and we had decided to get ourselves a kitten from the RSPCA. When we arrived there were lots of kittens in different cages. Many must have been from the same family as they played together. But in one particular cage one tiny little kitten stood out from the others. Her grey fur with white fluffy chest, she looked so cute as she just patiently sat there looking at us. She had to be the one! I carried her home on the bus under my coat that day! As she got older she always maintained her small frame. A home loving cat who could often be found in the airing cupboard where it was nice and warm. Over the years she travelled about with the family as we moved from one place to the other. I think it was 1997 when I was living alone in frodsham that I took over the mantle. It was here that she was to stay for final years of her life. She had the loveliest personality of any cat I've known. Her quirky little habits like the way she would only drink water out of a large glass that had to be on a table, and the way she woke me in the morning with a gentle pat on the head. I loved her..... I still love her... and I will miss her terribly! I the last few weeks she became painfully thin and had stopped eating and her eye became very poorly with flu like simptoms. On november 29th 2003 I took her to the vets knowing it was her final trip. I cried like a baby when the vet said I had to let her go. But I stayed with her to the very end to hear her final meow! Kitty I love you! I hope you understand that I had to let you go! I didn't want to see you suffer as in those last few days the spark had left your eyes and there was a sadness in you. I pray for the day I see you again and thank God for allowing me to share in your beautiful life. God Bless!!
