Memorial Note for Lulu

Lulu, my beautiful longhair American ginger mix, came into my life in a moment that felt like a gentle miracle.
On my short visit to Riyadh KSA in 2010 I rescued 2 newly born kittens, they quickly became a huge part of my life , for the next 16 years, we lived in four countries and just recently relocated back in the United States. Lulu and Angel became my world, my family, my joy, my everything.

Lulu was more than a cat—she was a companion whose love wrapped around me like a warm, comforting shawl. She slept by my neck each night, a soft, faithful presence that felt like a heartbeat in the quiet darkness. She was affectionate, fearless, and endlessly curious, often turning life into a gentle adventure—whether it was the simplest cuddle, a playful chase, or a determined stroll on her leash like a brave little puppy.

We learned, with heavy hearts, that Lulu carried a quiet burden of kidney issues. We did our very best—monitoring her diet, cherishing every moment, and celebrating every sign of her energy and joy. And then, suddenly, there was weakness, and within days, Lulu drifted away. The shock and sorrow are profound, and I grieve the future I imagined beside her—years of bright mornings and shared quiet evenings.

Angel, her brother, has felt that absence too, and I see in him the ache of losing his sister, the companion who shared his world with such pure, unspoken love. We carry Lulu’s memory in the tenderness of our hearts and in the countless little moments she gifted us: the soft purrs, the warm nuzzles, the adventures that filled our days with light.

We are deeply grateful for the 16 years of joy Lulu brought into our lives. Her spirit—a blend of grace, courage, and endless affection—will forever be a beacon of warmth in our home. We will honor her memory by continuing to cherish and care for one another with the same devotion she showed us every day.

Goodbye, dear Lulu. You will forever be missed, forever loved, forever our little queen.
