My amazing cat Shahki was the third cat brought into our household. She was a tiny little thing, almost like a little gray mouse. Barely weaned off her mother, she would hide in my pockets and I had to feed her from an eye dropper and my fingers. She would become the most beautiful black kitty with amazing golden amber eyes. Her fur was soft as velvet and fluffy. Shahki loved her first siblings, Maxx and Clea. Maxx would love to sit next to her and preen her. Clea would chase her around the house, trying to show her who was boss. Shahki moved with me to Los Angeles and we went through Law School together. She was a terrific study partner, sitting on top of my books and helping me write briefs. She came back to Michigan with me and later, when we moved to Florida, treated her feathered siblings, Zonnie and Tippy with love and respect. Zonnie loved to have her come and visit with him, he never felt threatened by her. Later, as Salem came into our lives and we had two black cats, Shahki's health started to fail. Doc Lorica thought that a younger kitty would keep her active, and boy did Salem ever .... Shahki would "karate" chop him when he got in her way, so much that we had to get Salem a younger girlfriend, Shayna. Shahki put up with the two younger siblings, and as the cat family grew with Simcha and Flora, Shahki managed it all, with her great nature and gentle meows. She was an adorable creature, the most beloved cat, who would allow cuddling for hours. Her sweet nature was with her up until the last moments of her life. Shahki loved to sit in the sun, especially after downing a few teaspoons of catnip. She would roll her furry body back and forth to get all the sun's rays on her body. I know she is in kitty heaven now, with no more pain and she can run and jump again. She will forever be in our hearts. We love you Shahki. Mommy, Daddy, Zonnie, Tippy, Salem, Shayna, Simcha, Flora and Sheysh.

Personal Notes

May Shahki's memory be for a blessing. She was my shahka -noo and I loved her dearly. I can still remember her scent, like a warm ray of sunshine, even though I haven't seen her in 19 months. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

I Shahkhour's her surprise visit on Oak Valley- a second cat to join Clea Cat from East Lansing. As Andrea, said may her memory be for a blessing.

I remember her wonderful soft touch and glowing eyes. I remember picking her up at Metro Airport from LA. I suppose I am Poppie Harvey! I remember Poppie Irving z.l. responding to her touches. She will be missed.

We met Shahki when we were in Florida. She greeted us with warmth and affection and loved to curl herself around our legs. She was a beautiful little girl, and we know that she is incat heaven, running around and looking for a soft cloud to rest on and bask in the sun. Flo and Al

Momma Woo:

Salem misses his momma woo so very much. He crys for his momma and he wants to sit on the momma chair so that he can keep it warm for you. Salem loves his momma woo, and we know that you loved him too, even though he is the little boy-man who drives everyone crazy. Salem will keep your chair warm for you forever.
