She was a feral kitten that came to our family looking for love and care . She somehow chose us because she knew that she would be in great hands since we kept feeding her everyday when she had no place to go so we decided to take her into our home and open up our hearts . Missy was spoiled rotten . In the spring of 2008 she was hit by a car and luckily survived with minor injuries . She also had a chipped tooth but that didn't limit her eating abilities . She was bit of a messy eater and when we fed her she'd try to knock the bowl out of our hands . Missy , who was a tortoiseshell had a bit of a temper too . She would scratch you if she didn't get what she wanted or make a noise of discuss . Missy loved us very much and would like to play and be petted . She would like to jump in my bed and keep me company , even if I was on the couch . Each year since she was born up to 2016 , me and my family would travel to California for a family reunion . We would place our trust in our veterinarian to watch over her until we returned a week later and do whatever was necessary to maintain her health . Dr . Latshaw and company at Magic Valley Veterinary Hospital did a wonderful job taking care of our baby and that's why she lasted so long . These past two years Missy started to slow down and started to have a few health issues . We as a family took her to the vet several times for treatment and they did what they could but the vet we saw showed us what we were up against . The news was grim and Missy's time on earth was limited . On January 4 , 2025 , Missy was in great distress and meowing in pain . Me and my family were sad and did not want her to suffer , so the decision was made to look for an open veterinarian office close by and have Missy euthanized . Our beloved Missy died peacefully with me and my younger brother present at 11:15 AM that day .
