Scholesey was found in the trashcan at a KFC. I wanted to call him Popcorn or The Colonel but my husband at the time didn’t like that. Since he seemed pretty orange, we named him after soccer player named Paul Scholes, but he turned out more buff than orange. He still had that crazy orange cat energy! He was a big brother to Pickle and Pablo and a younger brother to Ruby. He loved to play with water, he would bat at the stream of water and bite at it when we turned it on and one time he wanted it so bad that he hit his head against the sink. He also started drinking out of my mom‘s denture bowl. The last two years have been very, very hard and Scholesey kept us laughing and smiling with his crazy ways. He was always cuddling up to me and I called him Velcro boy. He made the funniest noises, almost like he was talking to you, and when you gave him a little Spanky butt he would get really vocal. He also slept on our pillows and would jump up on me in the night and also jump up on me in my chair all the time. He would paw at me if he wanted to get up. He would also snuggle up in between my daughter and I. He was a sweet, sweet boy and our little clown and he was such a joy to have in our lives. I never thought that we would have him for such a short amount of time. Who knew that a blood clot could be so devastating and take him away so quickly from us.

He had the softest fur, it was like velvet. He loved to have his nose rubbed. He was the most handsome boy and he smelled so fresh and clean. Also, his toe beans were the cutest things ever. Sometimes when he would drink water, he would get a little water beard or little water mustache, and we would laugh and laugh. We were given a water fountain for the cats to drink out of, and he really didn’t know what to make of it and the first few times that he drank out of it, he just dumped his whole head underneath the stream. I think him and water was the funniest thing ever. Also, when I would go to the bathroom and was sitting on the toilet, he would jump into the shower and sit there and keep me company until I was done. He was the funniest, sweetest, weirdest, kindest cat, and although we know we did the right thing. It is so unfair that he was taken from us. We will never ever forget you, Scholesey boy. ??
