Rusty suffered a stroke while in recovery after having a tooth pulled to deal with an infection. He died very quickly and was in no pain - the best I could've asked for.



Rusty was very loved.  He loved being petted - All you had to do was stick out your hand and he'd come a running.  He was very active and playful up until the end - He never did slow down.  He loved to "talk" to me by meowing.  I will miss coming home and seeing him stretch as he greets me.  I will miss him at 4 o'clock in the morning when he hops onto my bed because he wants attention.  I will miss our playtime on Saturday morning (and every other morning when I was home).  I will miss him waiting "patiently" for me to go to bed so he can play piano.  I will miss the sound of him "snoring" because he's sleeping soundly.  I will miss him when he looks at me with those big black eyes because he loves me...but most of all I will miss his meow when he wants something, and his purr when he's happy!
