In May of 2011, her family was on a trip to Tennessee from Michigan. They had rented a cabin and were visiting some of the wife's family that lives in Tennessee. The husband went to a bait shop because he was going to go fishing. At the bait shop, there was someone selling Beagles inside. He went back to ask his wife if he could get one. Of course, she said yes. The husband let the dog pick him. Tennessee was the first dog to jump on the husband. That is when Tennessee entered the family! About 9 1/2 years later, after the husband and wife had divorced, Tennessee had been found to have cancer in her bladder and lesions in her lungs a few months before her death. On Monday, October 4th, 2021 the former husband, (who got to keep the dog), was about to go to work. Tennessee had been getting worse and worse every day. She had stopped eating and was overall more tired. On that Monday, when the owner was about to leave for work, she couldn't even get up. The owner took that day off work. It was one of the days that he got his son after school. That day, he scheduled for her to be put down that afternoon at 3:00PM. It was a very sad day for them both, even the former wife. Tennessee lived a very happy life. She will be loved and remembered forever.??
