Unjust as may be, dogs are here for just a fraction of our lives, while they give their whole life to us. Our beagle-basset Timmy was everything, and when he went, he took a great part of us with him. He brought out the best in us and taught us to be better humans. He was so much more of a human than any of us could ever be. Without him, our house is no longer a home.
