My little buddy, 

You were so many things to me over the last 12 ½ years – my best friend, confidant, travel partner, charge, and above all, my little precious boy.  It’s been over 8 months and a day hasn’t gone by where I don’t grieve your loss. While my heart is broken in so many ways without you, I know the dark days are behind me. I also know the horrible pain of missing you every single day won’t subside for a very long time, if ever, but I can live with that as it keeps you that much closer to me.

You were the shining beacon of light that got me through all the things life threw at us. My love for you will continue to be that light while I live through my time without you. 

You were a kind and gentle dog to every person and fellow animal we came across on our adventures. That is what I am most proud of about you.

I wish we could have had a few more years together, I always had plans for us, but I know that you are pain-free now. So, while you are waiting for me - roam around, eat your fill, roll in the ether, and enjoy yourself, my beautiful boy.
