Treacle was my best friend. My special bunny adopted me soon after coming to live with me and from then on we were inseparable. We would spend hours on end lying on the floor together grooming and just gazing at each other. He was such a beautiful creature that just looking at him made me feel happy. My family and I grew to understand his expressions and knew what he was thinking and how he was feeling instinctively. We knew that he was up to no good by his 'distracting actions'whilst peeping slyly at us to check if we were watching, and we never minded when he caused mischief, we just smiled and called him 'Trouble'. He was a loving affectionate bunny and would often snuggle into my side which meant that he wanted a fuss. His favourite place to be stroked was his cheek which he would press into my hand whilst closing his eyes. He was a happy rabbit and would follow us around, keeping us company in the garden where he loved to help us weed and dig the borders before rolling around in the muck. He fought his illness so hard and the staff at the veterinary centre thought very highly of him having got to know him on his numerous visits there. He bounced back from the brink so many times that we called him our 'Superbun'. When he died in my arms it was still such a horrific shock and months after his death the overwhelming sadness still remains in the empty space in my life that he used to fill. I love you sausage and hope that one day we will be together again. Stay happy my love - it was a pleasure and a privilege to know you and you will always be in my heart. xxx

I'm sorry you lost Treacle. He sounds like he was a wonderful member of the family.
