On a cold morning in November, 1991, Babee came to my door and cried. Because she was the "runt of the litter", her mother(my neighbor's dog) tried to kill her, and bit her causing a gash on one side. I brough her in, wrapped her in a warm blanket. stopped the bleeding, helped her to heal, and we were inseperable from that day until her death.
I have never been and will never be closer to anyone that I was to Babee.
God Knows our lives, and he knows who will be alone,
So he sends a special friend, one to call our very own.
A Little Furbaby, A Bundle of Love, with a Heart so Faithful and True,
Who has a spirit and soul, just like me and you.
Then, in his love, he created a place, just for our friends alone,
They go to Rainbow Bridge, when they leave their earthly home.
A place where they will be made whole, and all pain goes away,
Where they play in warm breezes and have eternal day.
God, the Father, tenderly watches over them, and makes their bodies new,
At the Rainbow Bridge, there is always much to do.
Illness to heal, Tears to dry,a friend who with to play,
For God loves and cares and always finds a way.
For little friends, who come first,to that beautiful home,
God finds special friends, so they won't be alone.
The special friends are with them, until that beautiful day,
When their master leaves the earth, and swiftly comes that way.
Then, God tells the little one, that their wait is through,
For your master is coming, and will call for you.
The little furbaby gets ready, and sits by the rainbow gate,
The little body quivers with joy, on this the final wait.
When the master comes in view, hugs and kisses start,
Then, they cross the bridge together, never more to part.
(Dedicated to My Babee - July 11, 1991 to January 24, 2005).
