Max, my best buddy. He was so sweet...never growled, hardly ever barked, never ever tried to bite. He was a New Foundland, and despite having advanced Hip Displaysa, and being on heavy medication for his last years, would always come when you called. He was really loyal, and my source of comfort when things went wrong. I loved him so much, and always will. We got him when he was 6 years old, from a breeder that was moving to Australia. He would have been destroyed otherwise...his mother and sister were already euthenised. 

I will always remember my big black dog, the gentle giant. He has a place in my heart, and always will. I hope he's just over the rainbow bridge right now, playing with other dogs, and his sore leg is better. One day we will meet again, and then I will never be seperated from him again.
