Lara was a confident, outgoing, loving cat. She understood everything you said, as long as it directly related to her! She would answer back, and grumble if she didnt like what she was told.

With her thick soft fur and beautiful markings, Lara was a stunning cat. Her stripes turned into leopard spots on her hind legs. Her tummy was spotty too, like a special 'tickle here' sign. The stripes all turned into a swirl like a shell on her sides. Her eyes were gold at the outer edges but bright green in the centres.

She followed me around and liked to be near us, even though she was not one for being picked up. I think she got too hot sometimes as her fur was so thick. She loved to have her fur stroked backwards. She never ever clawed anyone and loved to have her tummy tickled.

Lara began life as just 'Lara' named after the character Lady Lara Croft... as it seemed to reflect her adventurous character. When My friend Lisa moved in, she began to call her Laralou or Loulou... and when we moved in with my other half, James he gave her the surname 'Miggins' - even he doesn't know why but I'm sure its a Blackadder reference. Lara attracted pet names because everyone loved her so much. She could charm even the most ardent cat-hater.

Her twin sister Tig misses her so much. They were opposite characters and were very very close, play fighting and washing each other. They would sleep curled up together, so happy. They have very similar markings, except Tig is paler with a lot of ginger colouring in her.

She was such a special, unique person and she will never be forgotten. She was a member of our family, just as significant as a human. She is desperately missed by Alex, James, Tig and Lisa. We love her so much.
