Oh my darling girl, I miss you every day.  You never showed how much pain you were in, but I knew it was time.  I miss your great rumbling purr, how you would climb up on my chest and demand your pets.  I remember when I first saw you - your brothers and sisters were playing and you were alone in the corner, terrified.  I picked you up and held you in my hands (you were so tiny) and I promised to take care of you forever.  I did my best, Lucy Bear.  You were always scared of strangers, but you saved all your love for me.  I love you always, baby bear.
