I can still remember when I first layed eyes on tootise. I was almost 7 and never had a pet of my own. Our neighbors across the street brought her over because their dog was chasing her and didn't know where she belonged. My parents first said no, but broke down and said yes. Later on we learned that she was the runt of the litter and the only one that had 7 toes on each paw which she used to open doors. Oh and she did get that dog back after a year or so because I do remember her chasing him across the street! She was the bullie of the street! She loved attention and made sure that you were paying attention to her when she was on your lap. In Sept of 2001 She had a really bad gash on her head and her chin and I decided to bring her over from my parents house to my apartment and let her retire there. She had always been an outdoor cat and it a little while for her to adapt. She also got to be with her playmate my husband Robert and she would be by his side every minute of the day. She would even sleep on his legs and he would never kick her *which I could never do* She was with us for another 3 years and now she is up above watching us and enjoying her turkey sandwhich meat and tuna fish. We miss you tootsie!! We love you!!
