Our Dog Mandy was Part Sheppard and Beagle. We picked her up 16 yrs. ago on a farm in Elmvale. They say she was the runt of the litter. She came into our family and became our love of life. She loved more people than other animals. She would go out in the backyard and go and visit our neighbour next door. He always had something for her. Seven yrs. ago I took her to this vet in Beeton and she had allergies and fungus he told me we could try her on some kind of pill or we would have to put her to sleep, that didn't go well with us so we took her to another vet which he took all the time for her and we started her with other treatments and her skin cleaned up. He gave my dog 7 yrs. more of life. She just recently got the allergies back and nothing was helping her, her back hind legs were going also. All she did was scratch and she was hot and she would bite her skin and it would start bleeding. We took her to the vets the other day and they looked after her, my husband stayed with her until she was gone. I myself is having a hard time excepting this. So hard to come home to an empty house I'm still having trouble sleeping because I think of her. But in the long run she had a good life and we will miss her deeply. We told ourselves that we will not get another pet because it hurts to much. She will always be in our heart. We are getting her ashes back and she will rest on my table in my livingroom with a picture beside it.
