We brought Maggie home on December 6, 1996. She was our Christmas present to each other. We spent our lives together and were never apart. We did everything together - hiking, swimming, shopping, camping, visiting, cottaging, B & B ing - everything. (She hated boating). Maggie brought so much joy to our lives. She had a unique personality and a lot of spirit. She taught us so much. We discovered Maggie had cancer in November 2003. She endured an operation to remove three lumps. The cancer returned in May 2004, went in remission then came back in July. Throughout that time Maggie continued to be her vivacious self. It got the better of her starting July 10. She struggled for just over a week. We could not let her suffer any longer. She gave us so many kisses and love and we gave them back. We told her we loved her. Maggie left us on July 21, 2004 at 7:13 PM. She has changed our lives forever. There is now a void that can never be filled. Our hearts ache for her.
