Viking was our first gentle giant. He was a Newfoundland dog and was incredibly beautiful to look at. He became very attached to me and viewed me as his mother in the pack. He was a gentle soul whose spirit had been broken before he came to me. Although I tried my hardest I just couldn't fix that and so he had to be euthanized. This was truly one of the most difficult decisions I've ever been faced with. I love him still with all my heart and miss him terribly. He will always be with me.
