Casper left us, he had left the house with no one noticing and was hit by a car and passed away instantly. He now rests in the backyard where he will never be far from home again. "Casper" "Casper!" ....Casper was never to be one to answer to his name, and half the time he didn't have too because you would always find him beneath your feet. I'm sure that everyone will agree with a smile, on how he would greet them at the door, being the giving dog that he was he would never greet one empty handed. He always had a slipper, a toy or to my embarrassment a pair of my dirty underwear! I will fondly miss Casper as will the whole family, watching movies will never be the same without him stepping over us...as my dad would say what do you think this is the "National Highway?" We will miss his love for morning bread, the way he would ring a bell to go outside, his anger with the answering machine, the love he had for his toy pig, his love for the security of his cage and of course his enjoyment with shredding paper and going through the garbage! Most of all I'm going to miss my very best friend! Casper will no longer sleep at my feet, but there will always be a place for him there. He was the only one who fully understood the difficulties of having curly hair! Casper was a good friend to Belle the Rabbit, and of constant entertainment to Melissa and Bryan! Sadly missed by everyone! We could never have imagined how difficult it would be to lose you, but now you are in a better place, and all dogs do go to heaven! Thank-you for your kind thoughts, and taking the time to read this and to know how special Casper was and always will be!
