At the beginning of December 1998, I discovered you after seeing an advert for kittens in my local paper. The moment I lay eyes on you, I knew I had to take you home. You were only little with the enormous ears and long tail and you didn't leave my side from the moment I walked into the barn. You were there with several other adult cats all being cared for by the RSPCA and yet you fought all the grown ups to ensure that you were centre of attention. I took you home, took you indoors, and let you out of the cat basket. Phoebe was sitting there slightly bemused at this little rat like creature that had invaded her space, I remember you sidling up to her for love and affection yet instead she hissed and smacked you for no reason, I had a strong feeling then that some day in the future she may regret that. You grew into the most beautiful boy, you were all black with little white patches of fur on your underside from your neck down to your hind quarters, irresistible!. You were smart, clever, cheeky, highly intelligent and a beautiful loving nature, despite being given a girls name; there was confusion over your gender in the first few weeks but it soon became clear you were definitely a boy. Besides, Chloe made it sound like you were sweet and innocent, how far from the truth is that my love. Over the years you and Phoebe became very close and you grew up to be a stunning boy, You had the cheek of the devil, quite frequently breaking into packs, bags, wrappers containing food. I remember the time you stayed with Nana and Grandad whilst I was on holiday, you broke into a pot of fish food, you had it all over your face and body yet had a look on you as if to say "I didn't do it"!. You were a terror, and you picked on poor little Phoebe constantly, and as she grew older Daddy and I decided it was time to get you a younger playmate so that Phoebe could receive the peace she deserved. We didn't get one friend for you though, we got two, 6 weeks old; Tigger and Poppy, brother and sister. You had become very close to Tigger, the plan worked. Phoebe was left to rest and sleep and you had friends to run around with at play, you were quite often seen charging around like a hooligan tripping us up, creating havoc. I only wish you could have stayed around long enough to see them grow Chloe, because you only got to spend a couple of months with them. I know you would have become very close to them both. You are my life Chloe, my whole world, you were cruelly taken away from me because of an car incident and I will never ever forget you. You are in my heart and soul and you always will be. There will never be another Chloe I love you very much. Mummy and Daddy, Phoebe, Skye, Tigger and Poppy miss you baby so, so much. Be good my beautiful boy, try not to terrorise all the cats in 'catty heaven' baby boy, some have been there much longer than so you cannot rule there!

Rest well, sleep tight and we'll see you again someday soon.

We love you and miss you

Lisa and Andy (Mummy and Daddy).
