Casey was born on December 20, 2007, sired by AKC CH Chance of Thornwood Labs in Klamath Falls, OR.  His AKC Registered Name is "Duke of Suavidad".  He joined our family on February 18, 2008 and our lives were never the same.  Puppy training went well, went through it twice, and he was also Canine Good Citizen Certified.  Casey lived life to the fullest and unconditionally loved his family, all people, other dogs, playing frisbee, going for walks, going out to lunch every Friday with us for "Family Luncheon Day", eating, cheese and cracker time, counter-surfing, going for rides in the car so we took him everywhere with us when we could.  Casey was a very smart dog; he knew when it was Noon so he would expect his lunch; I never did find out if he could read the clock or if he had a watch hidden somewhere?   He also knew when it was Friday and would get ready to go our for lunch without a hint from us.   There were so many other examples of how smart he was, sometimes outsmarting us. 

Casey was diagnosed with lung cancer on October 15 and he did pretty well with the pain medication but was failing the last few days before he crossed the rainbow bridge.   We will always be grateful to Dr. Baxter at Mile Hi Animal Hospital for her compassion and how much she loved him as well and how she knew he was a very special dog.  

I am sure he is playing with his friends Gunther, Sparky, and Shotsey in Doggy Heaven.

We have a big hole in our heart right now so please enjoy these memories of Casey and feel free to add any memories you may have.
