Budy was a loyal friend to me for so many years. I can't remember a day without him being there when I came home. It was a routine. I would wake up go outside give him a belly rub. He would walk with me to the gate and try to run out when I opened it. When I came home he would take the paper from my hands and carry it. He would let go but not willingly. That changed one day though. He got too old and tired to walk to the gate and grab the paper. So I would come see him instead. Bud's favourite place was the beach. He loved getting dirty in the sand and playing in the waves. Just like me! We used to live right at the beach but not anymore. Buddy was called Big B for three nicknames. Big Boundries, Big Bear, and Budy Boy. Budy was always on his own terms a free soul. Not contained by simple boundaries like a fence. One day I woke up planning to give Budy a pat. I woke up and left my room. Then my parents rushed me outside and told me what happened. Budy had died in his sleep. Pretty soon we would of had to put him down. He died on his own terms, just like he lived. I hated seeing Bud getting eatin by flies so we got him cremated right away. We sprinkled his ashes by the beach. So he could play all day and explore new beaches see the world. Now every time it rains I get as wet as possible. Knowing Buddy could be in one of the rain drops. I pray every night that I will see Bud in my dreams. On the day we meet at the Rainbow Bridge, He will be there with Shadow and Sparky and they will all be playing and Bud will be frolicing a puppy again. We will live together forever and never be parted again. Me and Budy forever.
