We rescued Kado from an abusive ower who was giving him away "free to good home". I had wanted a cocker spaniel after having house a stray that we finally found their owner for. He had been abused. You couldnt touch his neck or sides but he loved kids, he so dearly loved kids. I was 12 when Kado came into my life and I am now near 21 so he was there for me for the real growing up process. He would listen when no one else would. He always knew when something was wrong. Even though his hip started getting bad he would play. Play until he couldn't anymore. He loved things that would squeak or rattle. He hated dog food, burgers were his food of choice. He was our little hamburgler. He loved small animals, kittens, hamsters, mice. He'd get all excited. He was full of love. So full of love. His whimsical puppy state never left him even as old age began to sit in. He slowed down, but never stopped being wide eyed and curious. His resistance to get old has touched my life and taught me that you can grow in age and never stop being innocent as a child. He didn't so why should I? He died at 7:48 in the morning. I'm going to say the old age won. He died in peace and is now in doggie heaven. Goodbye my hamburgler...
