I don’t know where or when Brandy came into this world, but I know I will never forget the day she came into my Life.

I adopted Brandy from the Humane Society.

Brandy communicated to me right away that she Loved to be taken on walks. Her favorite was to go to the woods with my Sister Debby and her two dogs, Percy and Cassie. But a walk around the same old tired block that she had already walked a thousand times was just fine with Brandy. A walk always made her happy and grateful.

Brandy taught me to enjoy the fresh air, the sun, the clouds, the moon. Brandy had me thoroughly convinced that the best thing in the whole wide world was to go for a walk. It made her so happy, such a simple thing.

Sometimes after a long day at work I wouldn’t want to go for a walk, but Brandy was a very tenacious Terrier and luckily for me she got her way. Sometimes Brandy knew what I needed more than I did.

Brandy got to the point where she could no longer go for walks. Brandy's health declined to the point where she no longer took joy from life.

I made the painful decision to free Brandy from her old and sick body. I wanted Brandy to leave this world with the dignity she earned and deserved.

To my loyal and faithful friend:

I will miss you.
I will never forget you.
Until we meet again.

Cindy

Personal Notes

On June 14th of 2004, I took Brandy for her final walk. Everyone should be happy to know that Brandy had one more chance to do what she loved best. I walked Brandy in a park she knew very well. It was a truly picture perfect day. And while Brandy tired quickly, the sun was on her face and the summer wind at her back and for just one more brief moment, her eyes lit up with life and she was once more Brandy.

You will certainly be missed!

Brandy was such a special little dog. Brandy and Cindy found each other when they needed each other most. I remember the day at the Humane Society when we picked Brandy up. Cindy and I felt like we were the luckiest people there because we got Brandy, and we were right!! Percy and Cassie loved her right away, and she was part of the gang instantly. They were the three Musketeers. Her friendship and loyalty will never be forgotten.
