Miss Addie as I called her was a rescue boxer dog. She had been used as a "breeder bitch" for 8 years. The day I adopted her they brought out two or three other dogs. I just kept looking at her. She came right to me layed her head on my lap and I was hooked. Even though she was skin and bones she was the most beautiful boxer I had ever seen. We were instant bud's. She went to work with me, she was my best friend. She knew stuff no one will ever know. It tooks a good year to get her looking good but boy was it worth it. She was the most faithful friend I have ever had. I would ask her where her "butt" was and she would start wiggling her hind end. She loved her mommy and I loved her. She even won over my new husband who was not a dog lover. She had this way of looking at you that let you know YOU were in the dog house not her. She always slept on the foot of my bed. She thought I was asleep and didn't know it but I did. I will miss that dip at the foot of my bed at night......
