Our Bubbie, a Red Oranda, was a rescue fish. We saved him and his soulmate, Dottie, a Veil-Tail Goldfish, from a life of fishbowls at a hotel I worked for. They came to live with us in the Winter of 2002 and became an intregal part of our household.  Bubbie was a fine animal and a wonderful addition to our family. He meant the world to us and always will. Everyday he would be there waiting for us to come home from work.  His favorite food was peas and at night he liked to be read stories. He would lay in the corner of his fish tank closest to the reader and would listen for hours.  Bubbie was a little fish with a great big heart.
