When I wanted to bring a Rottweiler into our home, so many people just shook their head in disbelief.  Why would you want such a vicious dog?  But in the end, Riley proved them all wrong, for he has the kindest most gentle of giants.  When he came into our lives at only 6 weeks, we knew we had found a loyal companion who would not only protect us but love us unconditionally.  When the children were born after five years, that love was bestowed upon them as well.  No jealousy as so many people claimed their would be, only love and respect.  He was with us for 12 wonderful years, every moment of which I now cherish.  I know there will never be another like him, as he was just one of those very special dogs.  Rest in peace, my best friend, you will missed forever.  We all love you.
