My dog Cookie was my best friend from the time I got her until the day she was put to sleep. I always had a hard time in school, never really having any friends & whenever I came home she would run up to me & would want my undivided attention. My parents got her for me when I was 7 years old (in first grade) & I had her up until I graduated at 18. When my parents separated when I was 12 years old & I moved out with my mom I hardly ever got to see her except on the weekends. From that time on I regret not making more of an effort to see her. Yes I know shes only a dog but one (if not the most) important part of my life.
