Don't come ah knocking round here, was the message our Chuy gave out. His bark was loud and with a deep base that sent shivers to all our visitors. But 15 minutes later after all the barking, trailing and don't move message he would sit on your lap. You were his new best friend. So loving and play full. He was always a puppy at heart. He gave us so much laughter and anger too. Chuy a German Shepard/ Pit bull mix would always have a pee competition with Mejo all over the house. Boy that would get Rudy in a tiff. Chuy would watch over all three of us. He would always wait up for me when I'd stay up late. He would give me a look like aren't you ever going to sleep or not again. He would give out a sigh and watch me from the sofa and nod out. While I mean while kept popin bottles, dancing around and singing. Chuy would open one eye and sigh again. When Mejo went outside Chuy would always check on him to see if he was ok. We live up in the mountains so there plenty of predators around. Every morning Chuy would wake me up and usher me to the front door to take his morning dump walk but this one time I let him out the walk was taking a bit to long so I went out there looking for him and there he was being led down the canyon by two coyotes. On coyote was leading him by playing with him and the second was a ways behind them. Chuy was all happy chasing after the first when I saw this I yelled out to him to come to me which he did but those no good coyote's just stood there starring at me with their dirty looks. He was very obedient except for the peefest him and Mejo had. We love Chuy. Mejo did too in his own Sadistic way. My sister calls Mejo Napoleon because his a miniture Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix with an authority complex. Chuy was a big dog but Mejo would always make Chuy cry. Mejo would horde his treats and lay there watching Chuy devour his. When Chuy was done he would tease him with his treat to no end. But after an hour or so Mejo would give in and share what was left with Chuy. We're going to miss Chuy but he will forever be in our hearts. Sylvia Brown the psychic said your pets wait for you and are always around watching over you till you can join them. Love you Chuy.
