Rancid was a scrawny, wirey cat, and very masculine.  He was so smooth though, and his muscle tone was evident and gorgeous under his short black hair.  He tucked me in every night, and slept with me most of them, always nuzzling close to my face and neck.  He was my lazy pal during the day, and we would lie around endlessly, cuddling.  Rancid followed me everywhere, and he would whine his squeaky, meek meow from behind closed doors to be with me.  I called him Rancid after the punk band's song Time Bomb, because he was a black tuxedo cat with sugar feet, "Black coat, white shoes, black hat (I say cat)..."  He was my little pal.
