Velvet can best be described as a "little princess."  I adopted her from Heartland Rabbit Rescue to be a friend to my other bunny Gabriel.  She was a beautiful mini rex that had the softest, most plush white fur with gray spots.  She had a sweet, gentle nature that quickly stole my heart.  She had impeccable litter box habits and was allowed free rein of my house.  I loved the way she politely asked for treats by softly nose-bumping my foot when I was in the kitchen.  I miss the sound she made as she would run into the living room to spend time with me.  I still think I hear her little footsteps sometimes when it's quiet.  She was a little senior citizen when she left us at the age of 12 years.  My only comfort is that she doesn't have to hurt any more.  it's been a year ago today that she left us and it still feels like yesterday.  I love you my little princess and think of you often.
