I grew up watching Lassie & always wanted my very own Lassie. In 2002 my stepson surprised me with a 6 month old collie for my b'day. The best present I ever got! so begins my journey with Laddie, Lou for short. When he was 1 & a half he developed neurological problems, not sure as the cause. I set with him everday in a kennel at the vet's for a week. He improved & came home, but because of the brain damage he stayed a juvanile untill his death. He was a sable & white rough collie with a white blaze up his nose. He was my big beautiful boy weighing in at 100 lbs. He wanted so bad to be a lap dog, so he'd put his front legs & head in my lap. He thought he was being held & it made us both happy. It's been almost 6 months since I had put him down & it hurts as much today as it did when it occured. He got cancer, & he got where he could'nt lift his hind end up. His appetite was'nt good & it was time. I loved him enough to let him go. He was a very good boy & deserved better. I miss you my big beautiful boy & I'll see you some day. I believe in Heaven & it won't be Heaven if you're not there. Know you were & are still loved! Thank you for being my very own Laddie.
