Owen loved to play all the time! He enjoyed daily walks, running at the park, & swimming! He was very active up until about a month before his passing. He was a very loving boy who would give great hugs and kisses when he felt like it! He would greet me at the door when I would get home from work with a hilarious "Hellloooooo!". He would also say "Mama" when I teased him and he didn't want to be bothered!
Owen could always cheer me up if I was sad or crying with his silly, goofy antics. He was a comedian without even trying! He would sit on my lap and enjoy being rocked to sleep in the recliner! He was a 75 pound lap dog! He always wanted to sit in between my husband & I, would stand between us as we hugged, and slept between us in bed! Sometimes I slept with my head on him and he didn't mind being a pillow!
He had many roommates and many homes throughout his life. At 6 weeks, he moved in with me, Kelly, Steph, & Michelle in a double house in Wilkes-Barre. We then moved to a 3rd floor apt with just Kelly in Wilkes-Barre. Then we moved in to my sister Michelle's house in Dunmore. Next, Owen and I moved to an apt in Clarks Summit. Finally, I bought a house for Owen & myself in 2006 in Throop. Lola, his Border Collie mix sister, joined the family in 2007 and John, his Daddy, moved in with us in 2008. In 2010, Blade, his Weim rescue brother, joined the family too!
Owen loved to counter surf, as most Weims do! He got many good meals that way, including steaks, raw burgers, rolls, cakes, and many other things he wasn't supposed to have!
He was the best dog I could have ever asked for and I can't imagine what my life would have been without him! I learned to live life with a different outlook because of him! He taught me unconditional love and to be caring and compassionate to all I meet! I have a hole in my heart without him that won't be replaced until I meet him again at the Rainbow Bridge! I will love and miss him forever more!
