Nickie: Loved by everyone, EVERYONE she met. We walked at the park by the lake and in out 2 mile walk we would get stopped sometimes, 30 times just to be greeted by folks who wanted to see her, pet her, talk with her or by other dogs who liked Nickie as well. She's beautiful, full of love and goodness and life. THE most loyal doggie I've even known. A wonderful sense of joy, ready to go and go, to celebrate life every day. Warm with compassion and empathy and stays by my side until I feel better. So much fun! The goofiest things, like attacking the garage door and biting the lawnmower, barking for joy when we get home or to Grammy and Poppy's house, Screwy Squirrels, her fear of stuffed dog toys, her "no way" attitude on chasing a ball, her love of snow, eating it, rolling in it burrowing into snow banks, her love of drinking lake water while fishing, but not swimming in it, her love of swimming in giant mud puddles instead, the way she sits under a sun umbrella like a puppy queen, laughing and rolling her doggie eyes at my excitemnet of catching a fish, when she jumps out of her kiddie pool baths and runs for the house as her patience with us is at an end but she gets back in to rinse her anyway, her barking at passing cars on two lane roads, her fierce protection of us from evil cats and dangerous poodles, her admiration of the really big dogs, her expert begging for table food techniques, her butt wagging tail, sneaking up to the front seat to be closer to me, her hogging the bed, the way she lights up at the phrase "Wanna go...", camping and sitting up in the van instead of lying on the ground by the campfire, her wonder at all things living, and the way she has saved my life and given me the love of God. And so much, much more. I Love you Nickie, always.
