She was very sweet, but she was also very fiesty. She made her presence known....when I was on the phone she made sure the person on the other end heard her meowing. She was better than an alarm clock....she would keep tapping me with her paws, licking my hair and meowing until I finally got up and gave her Iams or Fancy Feast. Her favorite place to be was on my lap, purring while I drank my morning coffee or checked my e-mail. She was smart, she was clever, she was loving. My friend described her as "a good person," which would be right because I think she thought she was human sometimes, the way she responded to what I said to her, like she really understood. I adopted her when she was six years old and I had her for the rest of her life, over 10 years. I say God let me have her for a while and then He took her back. I enjoyed her during that time and she is missed dearly, by not only me, but my mother and quite a few of my friends who became acquainted with her over the years. She was something else. She will never be forgotten, but the tears have faded. I fondly remember her and just smile.
