She started out life as a bully puppy.  When she was little, we always dubbed her "The Puppy from Hell" because she was so territorial and would fight any of her other littermates.  She did grow out of that, as she became more mature.  

She became housedog when she was around 8 years of age.  She will always be remembered for getting in the silly moods out of the blue, having staredowns with chipmunks, and telling off the rest of the dogs that lived at the house.

Nina always had to check that everything was in order the way she wanted it.  She loved puppies.  She was a good babysitter when other puppies came around.  She would play with them and tirelessly nanny them and assist in their canine upbringing.  She did have a few quirks.  

One of her favorite pastimes was messing up the rugs so that she would have a comfortable spot to sleep on.  The times there wasn't a rug to mess up, she would hold up the fireplace hearth and bury her nose in her front legs.

She was affectionate, loved everybody, and was a snuggler up to the end.
