Candy came into our life at 6 months old. She had a very vibrant, loving, playful and loyal personality. She loved kids, people and especially chasing squirrels when out on long walks. She provided us countless hours of unconditional love and good memories. Last night (9/7/10) at approximately 10:40 PM, we made the very difficult decision to put our beloved dog of 13 years down. Candy was diagnosed with terminal cancer 6 years ago. At the time, the vet informed us that the cancer was slow growing, but because of the location (bridge of her nose) it would be very difficult to treat. They gave us a prognosis of 1.5 to 2 years. Without treatment, we were blessed to have her around healthy with us for 6 years after the original prognosis. While at the vet last evening we enjoyed 4 hours of quiet time with her as we said our goodbyes. She was such a strong and very loving/loyal dog. We will miss her dearly.
