Peanut was a special cat. He had gone with us from California, to Texas, to Arkansas and on to Colorado. He hated moving but he did so with grace. I remember the move to Colorado, the vet told us that we could give him the medication and it would help him. Well, I gave him a weebit too much and he was so drugged up when we got to the hotel that he couldn't even stand up. 



I was there when Peanut was born and what a unique opportunity to be able to watch that special creature leave this world. He was a great friend. He would sleep with us before we had our taller bed and had no problem getting up in the bed. After he got older he had a hard time getting up in the bed. 



I remember that he was born in April and my husband deployed to Cyprus for 5 months afterwards. When he got back, Peanut didn't like too much the fact that he was sleeping with me...he actually slept between the two of us for a while. 



Whenever one of the kids got sick he was right there to protect them and keep them safe. He didn't like having carpets on the floor in "his bathrooms" and he didn't like having to go to the vets office either...and he made of point of telling us by using the bathroom on the carpet after getting back from trips to the visit. 



He was a loving cat. And I don't know how I will be able to every get another cat. There really will never be another Peanut!
