Miss P. was the gentlest and friendliest creature alive. She may have been tiny, but she had a gigantic heart of gold. She shared herself and her love with everyone she met, especially her sister, Skunky. Anyone who remembers Peanut will no doubt remember her infamous shriek whenever (and it was usually constantly) she thought she was hungry. They will think of her willingness to pee on just about anybody (especially her grandpa). And they will remember the special kisses she saved only for her mom and no one else.

Peanut was a joy to her mom and dad and to her grandma and grandpa. She was a perfect angel incapable of hurting any other living thing. May she rest in peace in her own beautiful guinea heaven where she will always have an endless supply of her favorite vegetables and an endless supply of love from those who will miss her so very much.

Miss S. followed her sister ever-so-quickly. It was as if the two couldn't bear to be apart. Those who loved her will remember Skunky as the most high spirited of pets. Things were her way or no way (just like her mom!). Skunky loved being in charge, and those who interfered got to feel a not so subtle nibble to remind them. Frequent chastising to be a lover, not a biter was futile!

Skunky was also incredibly loyal. She was a daddy's girl first, last, and always. Her squeaks and popcorn jumps brought so much laughter and light into our lives, and her determination is sure to be missed daily.

We take comfort in knowing that both S. & P. are enjoying life together in a much better place - that big guinea garden in the sky. And we only regret that their time with us passed so quickly.
