The day we brought you home,we placed you in our hearts.

Never would leave us,our family you became apart.

Days and nights filled with fun,you ran our acres green.

Your beauty stole our breath away,for you we had such dreams

Oh the horror of that day,the day we lost our girl.

Dreams cut short as your life, faded into a spinning whirl.

We gazed into those loving eyes,one last time before the end

To say to you,"Thank You" for being an unconditional friend

When someone asks us, "A pit bull, why that breed"?

We'll tell them all the story, of a special bully girl.

One who lived her life with valor,in a discriminating world.

A girl who trusted,loved,and honored without a second guess.

Who never questioned our direction,she simply just said "Yes".

Blessed and honored we all feel, to have known this special girl.

At peace our hearts now rest,for on that tragic day.

Our "Gabby" knew we loved her,till the end we all did stay.

The last our girl felt was our loving touch so warm.

She heard the words WE LOVE YOU, as her spirit faded.

Our dreams for you go on,as you live in our hearts.
