Lily was almost 4 yrs old when she passed away.Lily was the best . She loved to be held and cuddle with us. In fact it was our "job" as far as Lily's concerned. Lily is a beautiful pug, she melted the hearts of everyone she met. My family and I are blessed to have had Lily in our lives for nearly 4yrs.She was always so loving. She's left her paw prints on our hearts forever. On January 27,2010 we had taken Lily to our vet because she had a discharge coming form nipples. We have a male and thought she may be pregnant. Our vet informed us she had pyometria....which is a deadly infection. Our vet immediately put her on antibiotics, we scheduled her for surgery on February 2,2010.That's the day our lives changed forever. The dr had given Lily anesthesia, then was putting a breathing tube down her throat at which time he noticed Lily wasn't breathing , he then checked for a heart beat... there was nothing. The doctor tried his best to revive Lilybut was unsuccessful.Lily has a beautiful spirit, my husband and I want Lily's spirit to live on and bring happiness to others. So we are starting the Lily Coe Fund. We want to raise monies to help families save their loved ones. There are people who are unemployed, disabled or have other circumstances that they can not afford Vet care for their loved ones. We want to help, and we are sure we are notthe only ones. You know what it's like to lose a loved one. If we can help others, then we should. Lets all pull together and help. If you'd liketo contribute to this cause you may contact me at [email protected]. You may also talk to your local vet and set something up in your pets name . Even if we save just one life thats one family that wont feel the pain that we do. We love you baby girl. Our beautiful lily. We'll see you again one day baby girl.
