Lexie was my beloved Pet for 14 wonderful years. She was the best dog I have ever had. We did everything together at home. She comes from a loving family of 4. She was everywhere in all the activities we did as a family in our home. Lexie had lots of energy up until about a year ago, she began to have health issues. We continued to care for her and treat her exactly like we would want to be treated with an illness. Everyone adapted to all her needs and wants. We had a loving Vet who cared so much in the last few weeks he called weekly to check on Lexie and see how she was doing, as we were told one month ago he had done all he could for her. Lexie continued to receive hospice care in our home. We took excellent care of her and she neve lacked for anything. Lexie leave behind her great furry friend a bassett Molly is her name and she has searched everywhere looking for her in the house. You see, both of our pets live inside with the A/C and warm heat when needed. They have a sitter when we are away that comes to the home. We prefer to keep them as normal as possible. Lexie is greatly missed by all of us. We are adjusting. "Time is a mender". I am greatful for the wonderful years we had her. She loved the beach and mountains and traveled well to both places. We will miss that too. She is now without pain and declining health resting in peace.
