The first day i saw dusty i immediately knew that she was going to be easy to look after and she was going to be a really loveable pet, i first held her and she was so content, i was so happy that she was going to be mine, her sister on the other hand was very fidgity and i knew she was going to be a bit of a handful, at the time they were both five weeks old and i was going to be able to take them both home three weeks later, i couldn't wait. On the 10th of august i went to collect them, they were so happy and squeaky when i put them in the box to get them. When i got home i put them in their cage and i walked away so they could get setlled into their new home, they both seemed to get used to it pretty quickly then i knew it was time for me to try and bond with them both, this was the hardest part because they were both scared of me, but as days went on they began to know who i was and started to accept food from my hand, that was amazing to see my little guinea pigs eating from my hand. As they got older they became my friends and loved to see me every morning, but one day dusty got ill, she started to bleed, i continuously cleaned the area and the bleeding stopped, i was so happy, but then the next day she got a water infection and an upset tummy, i was confused so i washed her everyday for 3 days and then it cleared up, and then dusty got weaker and weaker and she couldn't do anything for herself anymore, i had to bottle feed her water because she wasn't strong enough to lift her head to get water, she refused to eat or come out of her bed. Hours later her condition deteriorated, at this point she was freezing, she was limping and her body was limp. I knew she wasn't going to be here much longer so i checked up on her in the morning, she was freezing, hardly breathing, on her side and she couldn't move, i knew that was the day. 10 minutes later i went back to check on her.
