Fubie was brought into my life in May of 2007.  I found him on Petfinders and he was a rescue.  My husband and I traveled to Columbus, Ohio to meet him.  His foster-mother "Jayne" was very nice.  She had Fubie since the August/September before.  When he first came to her, he had been living in the woods for approximately six months.  Fubie was a Persian, so you can imagine what a mess he was...so that is how he got the name Fubie...it's a form of FUBAR.  (I tried changing his name to Elliott, but it never stuck.)  



During the time that Jayne nursed him back to health, she found out that he did not do very well with traditional medicine, as a matter of fact; he almost died as a result of a shot.  He also had severe mouth issues and had to have most of his teeth removed.  



It took Fubie a while to warm up to me, but when he did, he was momma's boy.  When I would work from home, he would always curl up next to my computer on the desk and snore.  He slept with me every night and put his little paw on my head.  Fubie also loved lying in the sun and I would often find him in the upstairs bathroom under the skylight.  He also loved lying in front of the fireplace during the winter.  



We started taking Fubie to Dr. Fisher, a Holistic Vet and he did very well. Fubie was doing great until July of this year (2009) when I noticed that he was losing weight.  So, I took him back to Dr. Fisher and he was doing well up until about two weeks prior to his passing.  



Fubie passed away while I was out of town.  My mother in-law and mom were with Fubie.  It breaks my heart that I was not with him, when he needed me the most.  I hope he forgives me!!!  Although he was in my life a short time, he left a huge paw print on my heart!!!  I loved Fubie and will miss him dearly!!!  Fubie was cremated on 09/09/09 and is in an urn on the mantle of my fireplace.
