It was such a sad day for Sam and me.  Our little Chablis was diagnosed several months ago with heart problems.  Then one Sunday morning she was having trouble breathing and we took her to the ER.  The doctors were so caring and took very good care of her, but she only survived a few more hours.  It was almost like losing a child.  We are still very heart broken.  She brought us endless hours of pleasure.  She was a "little pistol".  A Maltese who continued going even though at times it was difficult for her to breathe.  Beside Sam and me, she left behind 3 "sisters"---Shiraz & Hannah, standard Laboradoodles and one spunky Teacup Yorkie, Sweet Pea.  Chablis and Sweet Pea became very good friends at the time I met Sam in 2003.  They became inseparable.  Those 2 ruled the "roost".  They did not let the fact that the 2 big dogs weighed so much more than they did.  All of them got along beautifully.  It has been almost a month since Chablis passed away and I know in my heart the 3 girls miss her.  So we mourn the loss of our precious angel, but she will always be in our hearts forever.  We had her cremated and have her in a beautiful urn here in our home.  We miss her very much.
