You were a "rescue" pet. You were saved from an abuser of @ 60 birds. When we got you you had no crown feathers, nor any tail feathers. We knew if the person who abandoned you showed up in court to claim you we would loose you forever. Luckily, he never showed. We kept you and loved you for eight years. You thrived and grew into on of the most loveliest cockatiels that ever lived or sung. Joey whistled to you every day and claimed you as his bird. I was one of the few people you spoke to. The dachshunds always wanted to get to you but we kept you far up and away. You were a happy fellow and I loved you. You brought melody every morning into my heart.

Personal Notes

I miss you terribly. We put you under the peony bush with your mirror that you loved so much. We wanted you to be close to home. I made you a memorial with a candle and a statue of a dove. I light it every morning missing your song. Say hello to Sam for us. You both will never be replaced.
Love
Mom

I'm sure that each chirp from this little bird meant "I'm so glad to see you!" Each animal has a different greeting but the message is always the same. "I'm so glad to see you."
