Our Miss Rusty was the runt of the litter. She was always a tiny little thing. She could move. She darted about the house like lightening. She could jump with the grace of a deer.

She was a jokester too. She'd scream like Punum (http://www.ilovedmypet.com/view.aspx?id=18045 )was jumping on her. So, we'd often yell out one of those, "Hey, hey ... easy you two!" sentiments. But, then one day we turned around a bit too quickly for the Rusty. Punum was a full foot away doing absolutely nothing. That little brat!

We lost Punum when she was the ripe old age of 22. The Rusters was only 15. I know, it's old in cat years. But, we were hoping for another centurian.

Miss Rusty traveled with us from Massachusettes, to New Jersey, to Florida, and back to Jersery again. She led a full life.

She leaves behind her grieving CatMom & CatDad and her half-sister Wolf. We are brokenhearted. The Wolf is patroling the house and eyeing the closet where Rusty took refuge in her illness.

We are doing our best to comfort her and ourselves.

Meanwhile our Rusty has gone to a better place. May she have the company of Punum once again and enjoy the pranks of her childhood.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Dublin Ireland on the loss of sweet Rusty.
